 On this day 1948 Israel was declared a nation and 70 years on, history is made again as America officially opened their new embassy in Jerusalem. The prophetic significance of this event is huge and will reverberate around the world. Already we see the backlash in Gaza whiich will no doubt get worse in the coming days. For those of us who await the Lord's return we are one step closer to our redemtion. The Bible instructs us in Psalms 122:v6 to pray for the peace of Jerusalem which we should do. However, true peace will only come when Jesus returns to set up His kingdom on earth. Next to rule was his son Darius, who posed a question to his advisors (as the Midrash recounts): “As I recall, one of my predecessors allowed the Temple to be rebuilt.
